Factor in the Flowers
When it comes to choosing flowers for your wedding, most brides don’t realize how much quality flowers cost. Expect to spend (at least) $1,000 on flowers. As the bride, your bouquet should stand out and look fabulous, but so should your bridesmaids, and while we’re at it, flowers for the cake table and for the dining tables at the venue should be stellar, too. Choosing fabulous flowers, and talking to your local florist, can really brighten up and enhance the look and feel of even the most basic and low-budget weddings. On your special day, something fresh, like beautiful, fragrant flowers, is a must. Go big and don’t feel bad about it!

Walk Away from the White!
Who says that your dress has to be white? Traditions change and brides surely aren’t all the same, right? Try on a few other colors, like off-whites, tans, nudes, or a blush pink wedding dress. If you’re feeling really adventurous, consider wearing your favorite color! This is your big day, after all, and your only job is to look and feel great. If you want to keep with tradition but want to spice it up a bit, stick with a white or an off-white dress and accent it with a sash or a colorful flower, or add a bright hairpiece to match your bridal party attire.

Dress to Impress
If you’re really looking to help your bridal party stand out, start by helping your bridal party look their best. In order to do that, let each female pick a dress that compliments her own curves and looks nice on her body type. Some of the best-dressed bridal parties have different patterns, styles, and textures of dress. This adds dimension and texture to your wedding and helps each person stand out and look great as they complement you!

Let the Colors Change!
It is becoming somewhat trendy to pick a color, say for example, blush pink, and give your bridesmaids somewhat free reign in choosing the color that looks best on them. Variations of blush, like coral, light pink or even a mauve or a nude, might compliment the skin tones of your bridesmaids more nicely than just having one set color in mind. Let loose and relax and see what could happen if you let your bridesmaids pick out their “ideal” dress. They will be happier because of it and so will you. After all, less stress on your wedding day is a good thing, right?

Focus on the Details!
It’s your big day and things should be running smoothly. Put someone in charge of running through a list of last-minute details to ensure that you aren’t the one stressing out and running around like crazy. Rest assured that the details will be covered the day of the ceremony, but do your part and put in some extra effort in the pre-game. If the brides get to choose their dress and color, let the groomsmen have some fun, too. Consider allowing half of the groomsmen to wear ties and the other half to wear bowties, or let them each pick their own style of bowtie while sticking to a main color scheme. It doesn’t have to end with bowties, though, try experimenting with fun socks, cuff links, or top hats. The sky’s the limit! Make the details are so eye-catching that they speak for themselves.

Get Sassy with the Shoes!
According to Allure Bridals, shoes are a super fun way to bring a sense of cohesiveness to the bridal party. If you’ve all got a different dress, try running with the same pair of shoes to draw the attention in a bit and bring a sense of unity to a unique diversity. For a fun alteration, have the bride wear a bright and sassy pair of shoes while the bridesmaids wear a nude pair of shoes to match the brides dress. This is a great way to stand out and, at the same time, to stand together.

Slap on the Sparkles!
Spice up your bridal party attire with some fun, quirky jewelry. Bright colors, vintage strands, and sparkles are in and will make any bridal party stand out and look great. Play with fun jewelry and consider gifting your bridal party with matching jewelry, whether it be wearing similar hairpieces, rings, bracelets, earrings or necklaces. Just have fun with it!
